NYC Sees 1st Day Without Reported Violence Since 1960
29 NovNot one reported stabbing, slashing or shooting in the empire state of New York City Monday. First time since the year of 1960. When Paul Browne, NYPD spokesperson was asked about this rare instance, he said “it was a nice way to start the week”. He added that he couldn’t remember a time where no incidents were logged in one day.
Murders are reported to be down 23 percent over the year, with 366 recorded so far in 2012 compared with 472 the previous year. Total is up in the city by 3 percent this year, but officials attribute that mostly to an increase in grand larcenies connected with smart phone and tablet thieves.

27 Nov"The City Is Under New Management"
27 NovWhile Slick Rick was getting booed during half time, the power couple took the attention (as always) sitting court side while the Brooklyn Nets beat the New York Knicks 96-89. The minority owner/hip hop mogul tweeted after the game “The city is under new management” which got the Twitter world riled up.
Jerry Stackhouse, went 4-6 from behind the line ending his night at 38 points. The Nets have held their last 8 out of 10 opponents to under 100 points and have been 8-2 in those games. Pretty impresive for the new Brooklyn squad.
We’ll see soon who really runs this town.
