Gucci Mane Denied Bond

28 Mar

Atlanta rapper, Gucci Mane (born Radric Davis) was denied bond today pending charges from assault case. A fan going by the name of James Lettley says he tried to get a picture with the rapper and was hit across the head with a champagne bottle.

Gucci turned himself in on Tuesday and appeared in court on Wednesday.

I’m pretty sure the Gucci thought he’d be getting bond and going about his way. Since 2005, Gucci has been in jail 10 times which made it hard for the judge of course to let him off with bond.

His next court appearance is set for April 10th, 2013.

Waka Flocka “Fuck Gucci” At Dipset Reunion | Gucci Arrested

27 Mar

Dipset held their 10th year anniversary celebration for the “Diplomatic Immunity” album last night at BB Kings. Everyone was in attendance for this much anticipated night including a few guest.

Waka Flocka was among the guest that tore the stage down last night performing his verse to “848” switching the lyrics to “Free Gucci” to “Fuck Gucci”. I’m sure that won’t sit well with Gucci considering he doesn’t take controversy lightly. That’s if, he isn’t in jail by then. Gucci Mane (born Radric Davis) turned himself in and was arrested, then transported to Fulton County jail.

A second man came forward accusing Gucci of assault. The “alleged” victim, known as TJ, said Gucci assaulted him two nights after the initial accident. The alleged says, “I haven’t ever been so humiliated in my life and disrespected.” When it rains, it pours. Gucci’s label declined to comment on the accusations against him. His first court appearance is Wednesday, March 27th at 11am.

Free Gucci back?

Rumor Has It | Kanye’s Upcoming Album Title “I Am God”

25 Mar

Oh Kanye,

The controversy continues. According to BBC, Chicago rapper, Kanye West is naming his sixth studio album ”

2659539-kanye-west-121212-617-409

I Am God” instead of “Rich Black American”. The title, which is said to be “half tongue-in cheek”, is one confirmation that Kanye is indeed planning to release another album. No mention of single of promotion but being that names for the album have started to fly, the announcement shouldn’t be too far off.

I didn’t expect “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy” but three years later it’s one of Ye’s best album to date.

If anyone cares, the rumor is that KimYe’s first child will be named ‘North”. Yes, North West.

Let’s see how much truth holds up on these two rumors.

Fresh Princes of NCAA Tournament | Meet The FGCU Eagles

25 Mar

1364213801372.cached

Picture it. 1950 City College from New York blindsides everyone’s projections and wins the entire NCAA tournament. “Cinderella story” i’d like to think evolved from there.

Every March, sports fans throw that Cinderella term around like Michael Vick on third down conversion.

Meet Florida Gulf Coast University located in Fort Meyers, Florida.

Florida Gulf Coast University was founded in 1991, the college didn’t start admitting students until 1997. I’m sure you’ll are thinking the same thing I am. The students attending the University are older than the school’s history! This is only the school’s sixth year competing in the Division I and only their second year of being eligible for the NCAA tournament. They definitely turned it up. Imagine how many students are now looking at their program now.

“Service to Southwest Florida, including access to the University, is a public trust. The University is committed to forging partnerships and being responsive to its region. It strives to make available its knowledge resources, services, and educational offerings at times, places, in forms and by methods that will meet the needs of all its constituents.”

On Sunday, the FGCU Eagles became the first 15 seed in the 75-year history of the NCAA Men’s Division I Basketball Tournament to advance to the Sweet 16. FGCU didn’t just squeak past San Diego State, they legit showed them up. Prior to that, the Eagles shocked the world by sending home 2-seed Georgetown Hoyas with a 78-68 exit.

They don’t run a fancy offense, they just ball. They have a certain “swag” to their style of play relying on their strength and athleticism. “Dunk City” is what they refer to themselves as. Surprisingly enough, they’ve never mad a top ten on Sports-center but this run is opening eyes about that program down in Southwest Florida.

After the Georgetown upset, the schools site traffic jumped 431 percent. Well, after Sunday’s win over San Diego, the site completely crashed.

Senior guard, Sherwood Brown, a senior averaging team 15.3 and 6.4 rebounds per game during the regular season. Best known by his teammates for his pre-game locker room speeches. I noticed the other night him shaking the TV announcers hand after the Georgetown upset, that’s actually something he does after every upset. Remember the St.Louis dance called the “chicken head”? Well that’s his celebration dance.

Sophomore Brett Cromer, is definitely a stand out on this face pace squad. He’s put up double digit assist numbers in both games thus far in the tournament. He’ll be the key to winning against Florida.

They have the advantage over these teams because they came in relaxed. No one thought this team would get this far and they aren’t showing any signs of letting up.

Andy Enfield, 43-year-old coach has something good going. This is Enfield’s second year with the program. The Eagles missed the tournament last year with a lost to Belmont and the upcoming seniors vowed to “bring it” for the upcoming season which is an understatement. Enfield says “We don’t take ourselves too seriously. We try to have fun, get serious when we have to”

JT Takes 5 Shots of Tequila on Johnathan Ross Show

25 Mar

If you didn’t love Justin Timberlake before now, this appearance on Johnathan Ross show should help.

He’s so charming! Who else could convince British talk show host, Johnathan Ross to take (5) shots of Tequila (901 Tequila that Justin is backing) within a 10 minute timeframe and held it together. Now, I’m not a drinker but I’ve seen some people take a couple shots of tequila and get LOOSE. Justin stopped by to promote his new album (which is GREAT by the way) and the new Tequila.
